Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility As an experienced GCP Data Engineer, you will play a key role in building, implementing and enhancing enterprise scale data solutions. You will be working in a DevOps environment where you will have end-to-end accountability for designing, developing, deploying and supporting your data assets, and creating templates and implementation methods, standards and frameworks. You will be involved in developing high quality, low maintenance software solutions for our customers. You will be coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; development, peer code reviews and testing. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior developers about product and solutions servicing multiple businesses. What you offer Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility 5 years’ of enterprise engineering experience in a mature cloud environment Experience building and deploying data lakes and data warehouses on GCP using services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions and GCS Experience developing code-based ETL/ELT data pipelines with performance optimised data modelling Experience ingesting data from a variety of sources (DBs, APIs, streaming data feeds, and other clouds) Experience with event driven processing and big data processing - handling PII, data formatting & wrangling, data preparation, etc. Experience with analytics, especially covering topics or tools like BigQuery, denormalisation of data, large views, analytics & reporting Experience enabling ML & AI would be preferred, understanding Natural Language Processing, APIs to work with document processing, language translations, and more We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
