We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our newly created Data Reliability Team in Melbourne. As part of the Data & Analytics unit, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our Enterprise Data Platforms. This includes monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancing our data platforms to support optimal operations. Key Responsibilities - Manage and support the Enterprise Data Platforms (Data Warehouse and Data Pipelines), handling incidents and service requests. Analyse performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement platform improvements and enhancements. Oversee release management for production deployments. Perform basic infrastructure tasks such as updating Key Vault secrets and handling Terraform deployments. Collaborate with Data Platform and Data Delivery teams to minimise downtime and manage maintenance activities. Qualifications and Skills - Proven experience in Data Engineering, particularly with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks and ADLS. Strong understanding of cloud data platforms, ideally within the Azure/Microsoft stack. Solid grasp of IT Service Management / ITIL concepts such as incident, problem and change management. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and project delivery scope. Strong organisational and self-management skills.
