Academic Services Division (ASD) Full-time permanent position with a salary in the range $73,072 - $77,476 (HEW 4) plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. Opportunity for a recent graduate to build foundational knowledge across academic and student administration. Based at our St Lucia campus About This Opportunity The ASD Rotational Scheme is focused on providing recent graduates with an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience across the student and academic administration functions. The primary purpose of the position is to provide administrative support to key areas in student and academic administration and faculties. The appointee will rotate through a number of areas in accordance with a defined, but flexible, schedule intended to provide broad-based experience across student and academic administration. Each rotation is usually six months in duration. Training will be provided to enable the attainment of an appropriate level of knowledge, experience, and skills in each of the areas. Key responsibilities will include: Provide quality administrative support and high-quality customer service to the various clients of the Academic Services Division and faculties. Perform specified tasks across the range of areas in the Academic Services Division and faculties which may include; Answer student questions and process applications across various areas. Assist with materials preparation for publications, mailings, and exams. Gain understanding of university policies and procedures. Assist with agenda and minute preparation. Attend marketing events. Utilize university IT systems and liaise with colleagues across departments. About You Completion of an associate diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Demonstrated computer skills, in particular, the Microsoft suite of applications for word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, email, internet, and other clerical and administrative activities. Broad understanding of the university environment and an ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures in relation to the various areas of student and academic administration. Excellent communication, attention to detail and time management skills. Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to change. You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including but not limited to criminal history and education checks.
