We have a great opportunity for a Work Health and Safety (WHS) Administrator to work closely with our WHS Advisor to implement, maintain, and improve the Work Health Safety Management System (WHSMS), support and manage the WHS Inbox, and support day to day operational safety initiatives. This opportunity is ideally suited to a 2nd or 3rd year WHS student or WHS Administrator looking to develop their skills and gain real-world experience with the support of an experienced WHS Advisor. Six-month, part-time contract position (22.5 hours) with flexibility in how you spread your hours across the week. Opportunity for hybrid work from the office and home to work around study or other commitments. Key responsibilities include: Updating and maintaining the WHSMS by creating new and updating, reformatting, and reviewing existing and new policies and processes Following up on hazard and incident reports, and appropriate record keeping. Closing out audit action tasks. Monitoring and managing the WHS Inbox. Assist in facilitating WHS activities on campus, reporting facilities and WHS issues. A strong commitment and passion for safety and compliance. Intermediate to Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint. Proactive, forward-thinking approach and ability to work autonomously. HIgh level of accuracy and attention to detail. Exceptional organisational skills. Ability to demonstrate The Industry School values. Current valid driver licence. Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to gain one. Right to work in Australia.
