About the role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced administration assistant to join our fabulous Ambulatory team on a part-time basis (4 days per week). This is a fixed-term role for 12 months with the potential for ongoing employment. The Ambulatory Services Administration Assistant is responsible for performing clerical and receptionist duties for our Outpatient services. The role will be based at Cabrini Specialist Centre - Elsternwick and in our Exercise and Wellness Centre at our new site in Malvern. You will need to have experience to apply for this role, and be confident to perform reception duties autonomously. About You We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic administration assistant committed to providing high-quality customer service for our outpatients team. Key responsibilities: Autonomously perform reception duties, offering hospitality and efficient services to all outpatients and staff. Maintain appointment bookings with Allied Health Clinicians and Nurses. Provide relevant service information to patients and, where appropriate, gain and record informed financial consent. Complete invoicing/receipting of payment with HiCAPs and Medicare, and maintain chronic disease management plans Manage patient scheduling, outpatient admissions and discharges in line with our health fund requirements Escalate complex patient concerns to the relevant service manager Develop and maintains a good knowledge of Cabrini ambulatory services and staff Maintain confidentiality and respects sensitive information, adhering to Australian Privacy Principles 2014 and Cabrini Privacy Policy. About you: Strong attention to detail and fantastic customer service skills Ability to work well within a team and have a flexible approach to tasks allocated Proficient in Microsoft Office package, including good keyboard skills, word processing, and accurate data entry, and ability to learn new IT software quickly.
