But enough about us, let’s talk about you We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Coastal Engineer to provide leadership and planning for the delivery of projects relating to the implementation of the City’s Coastal Hazard Risk Management and Adaptation Plans (CHRMAPs) that facilitate the adaptive management of the coastal, riverine and estuarine environments within Mandurah You will be solutions focused, have the ability to manage complex projects and be capable of taking a lead role in matters relating to the safe and sustainable design, operation, maintenance and management of coastal and marine infrastructure. This is an exciting time be a Coastal Engineer in Mandurah with plenty of interesting projects planned for the next 12 months. To be successful in this role you will have: Bachelor’s degree in Coastal Engineering or equivalent Eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia Minimum of 5 years’ experience in coastal engineering and/or coastal and waterways management Extensive experience in formulating, designing and implementing coastal engineering investigations, feasibility studies, and works Experience in using computerised asset management, and related business systems Experience in CAD and GIS software such as AutoCad, QGIS or similar software Experience with CHRMAP development and implementation High level experience in design, construction and maintenance of coastal and marine engineering and infrastructure and associated Australian Standards. Proven capacity to plan and manage multiple projects with conflicting priorities in a team environment Proven experience in developing coastal monitoring programs to understand coastal processes and manage the coastal zone Proven skills in developing coastal and marine infrastructure capital works programs, project development and cost estimation, and project management Excellent communication skills including the ability to prepare correspondence, reports, give presentations and prepare grant funding submissions Hold a current unrestricted C class national driver’s licence (essential) Recreational Skippers Ticket As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test.
