Then we would like to talk to you The Opportunity We are seeking a talented Product Security Engineer to join our Boeing Battlespace Communication System (BCS) Enterprise, based in Brisbane. The BCS is a next generation network that is the centerpiece for multiple projects and campaigns. The system combines both developmental and off the shelf hardware and software to provide world leading communications capability for ADF personnel. It can be rapidly deployed from anywhere, and its modular design provides a flexible, scalable solution that can be customized for various mission needs. Responsibilities Support product security and resiliency throughout the entire lifecycle: requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support. Support product and system security authorisation and assessment efforts. Support the development, selection and implementation of security enforcing and enabling functions. Advise stakeholders on maintaining product security and understanding the impact of product modifications. Evaluate and respond to emerging security issues. Participate in the creation of security policies, audits, assessments. Communicate and collaborate with a diverse team in a conscientious and inclusive way. Experience/Qualifications A relevant technical Bachelor degree (Engineering, IT, Computer Science) or relevant experience Minimum of 2 years' experience in Product Security or Cybersecurity supporting complex technical development and integration projects. Working knowledge of Australian Defence security framework and associated policies and procedures including familiarity with the Australian Cyber Security Centre Information Security Manual. Proficiency in Engineering Processing (e.g., design, test, software, technology) as related to Product Security. An understanding of the development and implementation of product and cyber security practices in an engineering or defence environment. Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex security concepts to a broad and diverse audience. Sound cyber security and engineering knowledge across some or all of the following environments is desirable: Network connectivity and configuration. Windows Client-server systems. Linux Client-server systems. Government authorisation processes Engineering Change Management processes. Government security practices A desire to work as part of a dynamic team supporting a diverse range of technology Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
