We are seeking an experienced Specialist Mining Engineer to join our team at the Baralaba Mine Project. This site-based role offers either a residential or FIFO arrangement on a 5|2 roster, with camp or housing provided. About the Role The ideal candidate will hold a relevant engineering degree and demonstrate strong technical expertise, along with excellent leadership and communication skills. Prior experience in drill and blast operations will be highly regarded. Key Responsibilities Deliver engineering outcomes aligned with the project’s Production Plan. Provide expert advice to support the creation and maintenance of the Production Plan. Prepare accurate and timely reports, schedules, and plans as per project requirements. Advise on the implementation and improvement of the authorised Production Plan. Monitor project progress and compile monthly progress reports. Participate in project management meetings, offering technical expertise. Represent the project in client meetings as needed. Contribute to SHE investigation reports with technical insights. Key Requirements Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification. Proven site-based mining engineering experience. Strong Drill and Blast experience. Familiarity with the Mines Safety & Inspection Act 1994, Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995, and other relevant legislation. Proficiency in mine engineering software such as SPRY, Deswik, Vulcan, Blastlogic, and advanced spreadsheet skills. Desirable: Additional qualifications or experience in Commercial or Project Management. Strong skills in cost and contract management. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Commitment to fostering a ‘Zero Harm’ safety culture. Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Must have the right to work in Australia.
