Senior Electrical Engineer The role responsibilities include: Delivering HV & LV electrical designs including detailed design of electrical infrastructure and supporting interfaces. Performing discipline specific engineering services such as: Preparing and overseeing the production of detailed deliverables such as: drawings, specifications, scopes of work, calculations, technical reports, datasheets, tender documentation, requisitions, estimates, budgets and schedules for scope variation and technical queries. Conducting appropriate studies/optioneering of solutions, analyses and recommendation of suitable actions. Undertaking and/or reviewing protection coordination, arc flash hazard assessments and defining mitigating solutions. Undertaking tender bid evaluations; and Providing input and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. Upholding the change management process and ensure that the project and any changes to the project comply with: Applicable statutory and regulatory requirements; and The project scope of work. Produce high quality well-structured and coherent technical reports documenting study findings, results, and recommendations. Undertaking technical verification of project deliverables by others within technical expertise. Where required, prepare or assist in the preparation of project documentation such as budgets, estimates, forecasts, schedules, and reports. Direct and coordinate the workshare electrical engineers, designers and technical personnel in the execution of the project plus provide technical guidance (as required). Participate and input into in project reviews, HAZIDs/HAZOPs and safety in design workshops as required. Providing bid input to Worley scope, estimate and schedule for electrical engineering and design services. Proactively seek an understanding of the safety hazards and risks associated with the asset lifecycle of the designed product, plant or structure; be responsible for action and close out where relevant. What you’ll have An Australian recognised Bachelor qualification in electrical and/or power engineering. Eligible for membership with Engineers Australia. Experience working on brownfield sustaining capital projects in the Mining and Resource industry in WA (minimum 5 years in a recent role highly desirable). Experience across the phases of engineering projects from feasibility/conceptual studies through to detailed design and execution. Experience with materials handling systems including conveyors, stockyards, material screening, reclaimers, stackers, etc. Willingness to attend site for short stints from time to time for project familiarisation, data collection, asset assessments, inspections, and site construction/commissioning support. Very good understanding of arc flash hazard assessment and calculations in line with IEEE1584:2018. Experience with system study software package DIgSILENT PowerFactory (highly desirable). Experience with system study software packages such as ETAP and PowerTools for Windows (desirable). Dynamic system studies (desirable). Experience with earthing analysis software, specifically CDEGs (desirable).
