About the Role: We are currently seeking a permanent full time Senior Asset Engineer to join our growing head office team at South Bank. Reporting to the Asset Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical support in the ongoing improvement of fleet operations through the use of innovative reliability, condition monitoring and asset technology techniques. Key responsibilities: Support reliability and condition monitoring processes to achieve reliability excellence of mobile assets Identify, manage and implement any maintenance projects that will be beneficial to both asset health and reliability, and justify through suitable cost/benefit analysis Support the development and implementation requirements of the Asset Technology product suite Review equipment failure modes and utilise engineering expertise to develop and refine practical maintenance strategies to mitigate the consequence of equipment failures Use life cycle costing to support financial decision-making including end-of-life repair vs replace decisions or selection of new assets Mentor and develop graduate and junior engineers and trades people in equipment condition monitoring and reliability techniques About You: As a Senior Asset Engineer your role at BUMA will be built upon six main pillars: Reliability Engineering Condition Monitoring Asset Technology Improvement Project Work Asset Estimating & Fleet Strategy Support Engineering Support for Asset, Graduate and Undergraduate Engineers As such the ideal candidate will have a combination of the following: Tertiary qualifications in Maintenance Engineering stream (such as Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics). Maintenance trade backgrounds may be considered on a case-by-case basis Demonstrated experience in maintenance related roles. Experience with mobile plant machinery required Maintenance planning experience or on-site mining experience in an operational maintenance role Equipment, asset health, condition-based maintenance experience Analytical capability, with knowledge of fundamental reliability analysis techniques including RCA, FMEA and Predictive Maintenance tools Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite, SAP (preferable) and project tools Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour Working at BUMA: BUMA Australia is a people focused business, with a strong focus on safety, training, development and continuous improvement.
