Our ideal applicant will have experience in administration within a medical or pathology setting, be a confident user of a variety of IT systems, have well developed interpersonal skills and be able to work efficiently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. The Pathology Administration department at Peter Mac provides a wide range of support to Medical and Scientific staff through the provision of services such as: Entry of patient details and requests into the laboratory information system Word processing Retrieval of diagnostic material Audio typing Record keeping and filing Mail management Telophony Calendar management Meeting support, incl minute taking Victorian Department of Health has a program of reforms across the public pathology system in Victoria. As part of these reforms, the pathology services from the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital are being considered for transition to a new style of service within Local Area Networks. Distribution/collection/collation of timesheets for specific departmental groups Timely distribution of timesheets and collection of same for collation, authorization and submission. 5. Maintenance of filing systems, general departmental filing and specimen slide filing. Accurate filing of records/slides to facilitate fast retrieval.
