What you’ll contribute to An exciting opportunity has become available for a suitable Quality Engineer to join the TPS Operations Division in a Max Term role until 31st March 2026 . The TPS Operations Division encompasses the Toyota Production System Support Centre (TSSC), Toyota Conversions, and Centralised Services. Building on our TPS legacy as a foundation, we strive to create a centre of excellence that enhances our knowledge and expertise, benefiting Toyota and its stakeholders. The Quality Engineer is mainly responsible for implementing quality frameworks that establish a strong system for defect detection, containment, and recurrence prevention, with the ultimate goal of preventing defects from reaching the customer. This is Max Term role based onsite at our Altona North office. How you’ll make an impact Visualize and report the overall quality performance of the production facility. Enable stakeholder engagement by effectively identifying defect occurrence hotspots and assigning recurrence prevention activities to reduce defect occurrences. Conduct in-depth recurrence prevention analysis and implement countermeasures to enhance the Quality Assurance process, while also following up on supplier Kaizen (continuous improvement) feedback. Assist leadership in implementing Kaizen (continuous improvement) opportunities, while ensuring the maintenance of Safety, Quality, and Productivity targets. Assist leadership in managing the assigned area using visual control and identify opportunities for improvement, including managing and planning project activities and project budgeting and scheduling in line with the division’s targets. Assist in changepoint management by promptly addressing changepoint requests. Your attributes – If you’ve got one or more, we’d love to hear from you Degree qualification in engineering and/or 4 years of accumulative engineering experience. Knowledge of Quality Assurance systems is well regarded. Familiarity with vehicle operation and systems, assembly methods, and quality requirements is highly desirable but not essential. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Ability to work independently and in a cross functional team. Excellent communication skills & the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders to influence & implement change.
