We are seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to join our Financial Crime Team, where you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering world-class AML/CTF training programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our commitment to compliance excellence and regulatory adaptability. About the role As the Instructional Designer, you will work closely with subject matter experts, legal teams, and compliance officers to design innovative, impactful learning experiences that address regulatory and operational needs. This role is critical in ensuring the firm's readiness for evolving AML/CTF obligations, particularly under Tranche 2 reforms. Key responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive AML/CTF training frameworks for onboarding, annual refreshers, and role-specific programs across legal, operational, and compliance teams, ensuring they incorporate current legislation, policies, and regulatory requirements. Lead and facilitate engaging training sessions tailored to specific roles and risk profiles for new hires, existing staff, and leadership teams, while providing ongoing coaching to enhance their ability to identify, manage, and escalate financial crime risks effectively. Maintain comprehensive records of training activities, ensuring alignment with AUSTRAC and regulatory standards, while collaborating with compliance teams to produce detailed reports for audits and reviews. Establish and apply metrics to assess training effectiveness, enhancing materials and delivery through regular evaluations, feedback, and updates to address emerging financial crime risks and regulatory changes. To be successful in this role, you will need: Experience: Minimum 5 years in instructional design, learning and development, or similar training roles. Experience in compliance or regulatory-focused environments is advantageous. Educational background: A Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly desirable. Certifications in e-learning or instructional design are a plus. Technical skills: Proficiency with tools such as Articulate Rise 360, Storyline, Canva, and SharePoint. Core sompetencies: Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly. Excellent facilitation and project management skills. A creative and solutions-focused approach to learning design. Attributes: Adaptable and resilient in a fast-changing regulatory environment. Passionate about fostering a culture of compliance and continuous learning. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and outcomes.
