ABOUT THE ROLE As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of road, bridge, and traffic infrastructure projects. Working across all phases of the project lifecycle, you'll ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes that enhance road safety, asset management, and network efficiency. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage project lifecycles, from concept to construction and handover. Oversee the performance of contractors and consultants, ensuring alignment with project goals. Prepare detailed project briefs, estimates, and technical specifications. Implement best practices in workplace health, safety, and environmental management. Maintain open communication with stakeholders, balancing competing priorities to achieve sustainable community outcomes. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) Strong knowledge of road, bridge, and traffic infrastructure construction and maintenance. Experience in preparing cost estimates, project delivery briefs, and management plans. Familiarity with tenders, contract administration, and financial management. Proficient in using technology for project and information management. A valid Australian driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
