The Role: An exceptional permanent opportunity awaits an experienced Server Engineer proficient in Microsoft Technologies, Active Directory, Office365, and VMWare Virtualization. Responsibilities: Bring forth technical expertise across all facets of Server and OS management, encompassing build, maintenance, and decommissioning. Oversee and elevate our physical and virtual server infrastructure in alignment with organizational policies and IT strategy. Conduct regular backups for business-critical servers/databases and ensure timely patching and upgrades for server assets. Implement and uphold cyber security controls, shielding server assets from potential threats and damage. Collaborate with Infrastructure/OS support vendors to uphold system availability and reinforce critical business processes. Address escalations from the Service Desk team and actively contribute to projects of varying sizes and complexity. Requirements: ITIL v3 Foundation or higher MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent certifications VCP or VCAP certification 5 years’ hands-on experience managing Microsoft Windows OS (2012-2019) and VMWare vSphere/ESXi in a Data Centre. Competency in administering Linux operating systems. Proficiency in Active Directory, LAN/WAN/VLAN, TCP/IP, UDP, and adept knowledge of cyber security principles. Familiarity with enterprise-level controls and endpoint detection platforms (e.g., MDE). Experience in managing server backups, preferably with expertise in Rubrik.
