This role includes working across a 24/7 roster, based on customer choice and needs, which would include morning, afternoon, evening, night, weekend and public holiday shifts. We have casual and part time positions available. What You'll Do As a Disability Support Worker, you'll play a pivotal role in helping individuals achieve their goals and dreams with: Customer Engagement: Supporting and mentoring our customers in daily living and delivery of person centered support. Domestic Support: Assisting customers with daily household tasks, ensuring comfort and independence. Personal Care and Medication Support: Providing essential care, medication assistance and maintaining scheduled appointments (including medical and allied health) to enhance the wellbeing of our customers. Meal Preparation: Preparing nutritious and satisfying meals tailored to individual needs. Building Professional Relationships: Establishing strong networking connections with customers, their families and all relevant stakeholders. Working Independently and Within a Team: Collaborating and taking initiative to ensure the customers support needs and goals are achieved. Relevant industry (Certificate III in Individual Support) or life experience. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. An inclusive, understanding and compassionate attitude. A reliable Smartphone, which you are prepared to use for work purposes. Computer proficiency including Outlook, Word, Sharepoint and Customised ConnectAbility clinical management software. New South Wales Driver's License (minimum P2). Access to a reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle. Nationally Recognised First Aid Certificate or the ability to obtain one. NDIS Worker Screening Check or the ability to attain one. NDIS Worker Orientation Module or the ability to complete the training. Working with Children Check (paid Employee) or the ability to obtain one. Commitment to observing and implementing work, health and safety requirements.
