This vacancy sits within a Federal Government entity, within the Department of Health. This position is a full-time/ongoing position, where you would be employed directly by the government entity. The Role The full-time ‘LMS Instructional Designer and Administrator’ will join the ICT Team, who are responsible for managing the ICT infrastructure used to support the work of the entity. The infrastructure includes websites, servers, a data warehouse, web applications, mobile applications, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and physical equipment. The team are responsible for the ongoing maintenance, issues resolution and security of these assets. Benefits Full-time (ongoing) permanent role Base salary of $94,727 - $106,866 plus 15.4% super (APS 6 level) Located in the Sydney CBD (next to St James/Museum/Town Hall stations) Flexible working arrangement available (working up to 2 days from home p/week) Key Responsibilities Create, configure, generate and schedule LMS reports for client organisations, courses, and for the organisation, including creating feedback and evaluation surveys using Alchemer and the existing feedback and evaluation reports in Moodle . Create certificates and triage certificate issues. Manage courses by creating and updating course pages, adding and updating bespoke SCORM courses. Conduct thorough needs analysis for modules to identify learning needs and determine learning objectives and outcomes. Apply best practice adult learning theory, and instructional design models/principles to create learning programs, content, and tools that most effectively help learners achieve the learning outcomes. Create new courses using Articulate 365 Storyline and Rise , utilising the quiz activity, book activity, video and audio and other LMS activities. Create and update user accounts, manage user data and content, and ensure the accuracy of LMS records. Manage the LMS site and content, including updating graphics, text, adding new pages, organising and maintaining storyboards. Assist with onboarding organisations to use the Shared Learning Platform by assisting with enquiries and user issues. Create program evaluation tools to measure impact and continuously improve learning solutions. Provide high-quality technical support to users of the LMS, including responding to queries, resolving issues, and troubleshooting technical problems. About You The successful candidate will have: Full Australian Citizenship, unfortunately Permanent Residents and Visa holders cannot be considered. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses) Strong experience administering learning management platforms and other web-based technology solutions. Proven ability to work with subject matter experts, applying best practice adult learning theory and instructional design models and principles to create learning programs, content, and tools that most effectively help learners achieve the learning outcomes. Strong relationship management skills including customer service experience with both stakeholders and learners. Highly developed organisational skills to plan and track support, updates and maintenance. Strong problem-solving skills to analyse issues and identify solutions. Strong oral and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to prepare high quality documents and submissions, present to a range of audiences, and explain complex technical issues simply.
