The Role Under the guidance of the Electrical Supervisor, the primary objective is to ensure the delivery of safe and efficient electrical services both on the surface and within the underground mine. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the repair, servicing, and maintenance of Newmont Tanami's mobile equipment and fixed plant electrical infrastructure. This includes working on machinery such as Sandvik drills, Normet machinery, R2900xe CAT loaders, Epiroc equipment, and Raise bore motors. Additionally, the infrastructure may encompass drives, transformers, instrumentation, power distribution networks, substations, distribution boards, and related components Skills, Knowledge & Experience Relevant trade qualification as an Electrician Significant experience working as an Electrician in an underground mining or heavy industrial environment Strong knowledge of electrical theory, maintenance, and repair practices Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and specifications Commitment to safety and a proven track record of safe work practices Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Effective communication and teamwork skills What we offer At Newmont Australia, we are committed to providing our employees with an engaging and rewarding work environment.
