Who will you be working with? Our client is a world class medical device manufacturer based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne. They are seeking an experienced Dispatch and Warehouse Operator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. To be successful for this position, the suitable candidate needs to hold a forklift license and have at least 4 years’ experience working in a similar environment – medical device or pharma experience will be highly regarded. Key Responsibilities: Inwards & Receiving Operations: • Sort stock against packaging slips and verify quantities against purchase orders. • Book stock into inventory systems • Cross-reference supplier batch numbers and label stock for accurate put-away. • Utilise RF scanners for efficient inventory tracking. • Operate high-reach electric forklifts Dispatch & Order Fulfillment: • Process orders and allocate stock using advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables). • Maintain strict batch rotation practices to ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) principles are followed. • Prepare and check pallets, create delivery dockets, and liaise with dispatchers • Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy by conducting regular stock counts and resolving discrepancies. • Handle high-value, regulated products with meticulous attention to detail, prioritising compliance and quality. What We’re Looking For: • 4 years experience in warehousing and dispatch in a regulated environment (i.e. pharmaceutical, medical device or food manufacturing • Extensive experience in warehouse operations, including order processing, inventory management, and dispatch. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, reporting) and familiarity with RF scanning and batch control. • Hands-on experience with inventory systems like Exact, with transferable skills for SAP or Pronto systems. • Strong attention to detail, particularly when verifying supplier numbers, batch details, and documentation. • Collaborative and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
