About T he R ole We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver for our Stafford Family Store in a casual capacity . This position is based out of Stafford. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the General Retail Award level 2 Key Responsibilities Undertake the pickup and delivery of furniture and goods as per instructions from the relevant Family Store Manager and in accordance with the daily schedule, as per all WHS manual handling procedures/protocols. Provide excellent service as a primary customer contact for the Family Stores. Manage the timely removal of waste and bins to the local refuse centres. Provide retail floor assistance as needed including sorting, pricing and moving furniture and stock. Maintain a safe, clean and uncluttered workspace. Operate the company vehicle in a safe and effective manner in order to minimise the risk of injury, property damage, loss of life and ensure appropriate maintenance/service and cleanliness of vehicle inside and out. Report any incidents, hazards or near misses through to Line Management and in system, in line with TSA policy and procedures About You Minimum 2 yrs experience in driving commercial vehicles. Furniture delivery and pick up experience highly regarded. Previous experience in a customer facing role. Competent computer skills and ability to use software applications to complete training goals. A N ational ly Coordinated Criminal History C heck A current and valid Working with Children’s Check A current valid Driver's license. A First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain. A good level of fitness to carry out the duties of the position. This position will require physical ability to lift and carry furniture, stand, sit and walk for long periods time.
