The Opportunity – Novaskill, in collaboration with Walcha Council, is excited to offer multiple Civil Construction Apprenticeship opportunities. These roles provide hands-on, on-the-job training, complemented by dedicated mentoring and ongoing support to help you achieve your career aspirations and unlock your full potential. As part of the program, you’ll work toward earning a national recognised Certificate III in Civil Construction, equipping you with valuable skills and qualifications whilst gaining practical experience in the dynamic Civil Construction industry. This apprenticeship also offers the chance to build meaningful connections and lay the foundation for a rewarding career in the field. Learnings & Outcomes – Safely operate a range of plant and equipment Plan and organise civil construction tasks Read and interpret plans Use hand and power tools General Labour including – hand digging & shovelling Manual Handling including – lifting, place, screed and finish asphalt and concrete Laying pavers About You – Drivers Licence required White Card required, or willingness to obtain Honest, reliant, resilient Keen to learn & undertake works required for both operational and learning environments Apprenticeship Suitability Recommendations – Have good hand-eye coordination and the ability to use hand tools Are comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Have an intermediate level of fitness to manage physical tasks like shovelling, moving surveying equipment, and walking long distances The ability to work well as part of a team Novaskill is about enriching people’s lives and cultivating futures.
