About the Role Working as a member of the production team, the Truck Driver is responsible providing a delivery and pick up service between the organisation and their customers and suppliers within safety, quality and environmental parameters. The Truck Driver also provides support to the warehousing and logistics functions of the organisation to maximise efficiency and assists in the workshop areas as required. Key Responsibilities Manage the efficient distribution of finished goods to customers and delivery of raw materials to production; Working from a load list, Plan, Load and secure goods for delivery to comply to relevant Transport Safety Standards Collect materials from suppliers as directed; Assist in maintaining and monitoring the stock levels in the stores area Compile and record stocked goods into transportable loads working from a load list to suit job requirements Maintain the truck in clean, sound working order and fuelled at all times; Maintain accurate truck log book; Monitor the condition of transport equipment including trailers, load restraints and Dunnage and notify management of any non-conforming items; Plan routes and meet delivery schedules; Safe Loading and unloading of finished goods on site with Telehandlers and client owned forklifts or alternative suitable machinery. Safe loading/ unloading and securing of machinery including Boom lifts, Scissor lifts, telehandlers and associated attachments and tooling from Site to Site Reporting faulty tools, plant or equipment to the Production Manager Correctly using, maintaining and caring for all personal protective equipment provided; Undertake all other reasonable tasks and duties that are peripheral to your role and within your skill and ability as direct. Comply with road and traffic act regulations (laws); Perform General site works are required; Perform any other tasks as reasonably directed Skills and Experience Proven work experience as a Truck Driver, minimum 5 years. Hands on experience with loading and unloading Steel structural sheds. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations.
