Servicing an array of clients, from publicly listed companies and managed funds to private groups and high-net-worth individuals, we also provide specialised support to accountants, lawyers and financial planners. We focus on delivering commercial outcomes that resolve issues swiftly and cost-effectively, while maintaining our proven track record of successfully litigating disputes when required. As a Legal Assistant in the Tax group, you will provide essential support to several of the team’s talented professionals, including two partners, special counsel, senior associate and lawyers. Your key responsibilities will include: Providing general secretarial support including billing and document preparation; Preparing briefs and assisting with drafting, revising, and managing court documents; Proactive diary management and meeting coordination; Organising travel arrangements; File opening and management; and Contributing to team meetings and professional development sessions. Experience We are seeking an intermediate to senior level administrator with prior experience in a corporate environment. Whilst a background in law is preferred, we also welcome candidates with expertise in other professional services industries. You will also display the following attributes: A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative; Strong communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders; Exceptional time management skills to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines efficiently; Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all work; Self-motivation, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team; A collaborative approach, fostering strong relationships with team members and other legal assistants across the firm; Strong technical proficiency and a solid grasp of relevant software applications; and A genuine dedication to delivering outstanding support to your team of authors.
