Job Description We have a great opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel who will provide expert legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial transactions, predominantly for our Supply Chain business. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex legal issues. Responsibilities & Requirements Legal Support: Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and other personnel within the organisation. Draft and review a variety of commercial agreements. Provide legal advice on contract interpretation, risk management, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with business objectives and mitigate potential risks. Stay updated on relevant legal developments and support compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures. Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other third-party advisors Qualifications Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent; admission to practice law in Australia. Current Australian Practising Certificate. Minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience in commercial/corporate law, preferably within the energy or industrial sector. Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, with a particular focus on infrastructure/supply chain related contracts. Expertise in competition/consumer law. Experience in construction law. Experience in mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and major projects. Experience with advising on complex regulatory matters and frameworks. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail. Strategic Thinking. Adaptability and Resilience.
