With a reputation for exceptional service and a commitment to safety, the company serves a diverse range of clients, ensuring timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. 84 Sikh Pty Ltd is seeking to fill a full-time position for skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join its dynamic team and support logistics and transportation needs. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of logistics operations and supporting the ongoing business growth. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the safe and timely transportation of goods, contributing to the smooth operation of the supply chain and upholding the company's commitment to excellence in service delivery. This position is critical for the business as it directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. A skilled Truck Driver ensures that deliveries are made on schedule, maintaining the company's reputation and supporting its financial success. Requirements: · AQF Certificate II or III in Driving Operations with at least two years of relevant experience · At least two years of full-time experience in a similar industry is required. Experience as a truck driver in logistics or transport will be highly regarded. · Valid MC (Multi Combination License) driver's license with a clean driving record. · Familiarity with GPS and other navigation tools. Key responsibilities are set out below: · Safely operate company trucks to transport goods and materials to specified destinations. · Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is secure and protected during transit. · Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness. · Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. · Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations. · Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others. · Maintain communication with the logistics team to update on delivery status, traffic conditions, and any potential delays. · Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and addressing any queries or concerns. · Monitor and report any vehicle maintenance or repair needs. · Assist with the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment as needed. · Manage and document the handling and storage of hazardous materials, if applicable. · Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members. · Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the truck and related equipment. · Use lifting equipment and other tools safely and efficiently to load and unload goods, ensuring the protection of the cargo. Ideal candidate will have: · Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws. · Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers. · Ability to handle physical work, including lifting and securing cargo. · Excellent time-management and organizational skills. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle repairs and maintenance. · Strong time management skills to adhere to delivery schedules.
