About the Role As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality construction projects while gaining exposure to tier-one building practices. Reporting directly to the General Manager – Construction, your responsibilities will include: On-site Coordination: Conduct pre-start checks and collaborate closely with stakeholders and clients throughout the project. Project Planning and Delivery: Develop and execute delivery plans, address anomalies, liaise with stakeholders, drive decisions, and set objectives to achieve project goals. Progress Monitoring: Regularly review project progress (financial and operational), mitigate delays, and ensure timely delivery. Contract Compliance: Document significant site events to ensure adherence to contract terms. Procurement Management: Prepare contracts, purchase orders, and order materials. Claims Processing: Manage and process monthly claims. Quality and Safety Management: Develop Method Statements, Quality Plans, and Programs, ensuring approvals are obtained. Operational Support: Undertake coordination activities to support efficient project execution. Who we're looking for We are looking for a motivated and results-driven professional with a background in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will have: A minimum of two years' on-site experience in the construction industry as a Project Engineer, Site Manager, or Foreman, working with either a head contractor or subcontractor. A solid understanding of drawings and design principles. Excellent work ethic, strong communication and listening skills, and a proactive attitude. A passion for delivering high-quality outcomes and a desire to advance in the construction industry.
