About the Job This role focuses on ensuring that new and upgraded SA Water infrastructure meets delivery outcomes and customer service standards, where your primary focus will be working in the Northern housing development areas of Adelaide. Your key responsibilities include aligning team efforts to achieve goals, prioritising safety, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and representing SA Water in contractor meetings. The specialist will also provide guidance on design issues, facilitate training for internal and external customers, and evaluate contractor performance. Essential qualifications include knowledge of construction safety practices, technical understanding of water infrastructure, and the ability to interpret complex construction plans. Strong stakeholder management skills are crucial for success in this collaborative position. Provide high-quality customer service by verifying compliance with SA Water Technical Standards and industry regulations, providing regular progress updates, attending site meetings, and providing feedback to stakeholders. Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for improvement in processes and technologies, ensuring alignment with SA Water standards Provide training for field operations, ensure policy compliance, and evaluate contractor performance using SA Water's management tools Your success in this role will come from: Demonstrated knowledge and application of construction WHS practices, standards and quality assurance techniques Technical understanding of water, wastewater and re-cycled assets and infrastructure throughout the design, operations and maintenance lifecycle Ability to read and interpret complex water, wastewater and recycled water construction plans including Dial Before You Dig plans Experience in managing differing stakeholder and customer expectations - Desirable A sound knowledge of approved materials, fittings and equipment associated with the water industry - Desirable Experience in identifying, establishing and implementing process improvements - Desirable Experience in construction, commissioning , program reviews and quality assurance - Desirable Tertiary qualifications in Engineering/Construction and/or relevant equivalent experience - Desirable Further information can be found in the attached PD – Construction Technical Officer.pdf To apply, click 'Apply'.
