The Opportunity We’re looking for a Legal Assistant to join our Corporate practice group on a 3-month contract working Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. As a Legal Assistant you will provide comprehensive administrative support to a fast-paced practice group including Partners and team of senior lawyers. Your day-to-day As a trusted member of the team your day will be filled with a variety of tasks such as: Assisting the practice group with billing Assisting with document preparation, including drafting and editing. High volume matter management, including file opening and closing. Managing travel arrangements as required Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders by phone, email, and in-person. About you To be successful in this role you will have 2 years' legal or professional services secretarial experience and will possess the below: Previous billing experience (Experience with Aderant Expert) essential. Ability to anticipate Partner requirements. Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities. Confidence in decision making. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office. Ability to think on your feet and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
