About the role An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced commercial lawyer to join the company’s legal team in a parental leave contract role, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel. In this multi-faceted role operating in a fast paced and highly commercial environment, you will also enjoy making a broader contribution to the business and be a trusted advisor on a wide range of legal and risk issues. You will be responsible for advising the business on a variety of legal issues including commercial contracting, marketing, consumer law, sponsorship and privacy matters. About you The successful candidate will have at least 6 years relevant post admission experience with initial training in a reputable law firm and/or in-house. A solid corporate and/or commercial law background and the ability to perform general contract work including drafting and negotiating a broad range of business-as-usual agreements. Strong drafting, negotiation and advisory skills are essential. A demonstrated strong understanding of commercial contracts and regulation frameworks obligations is sought. A practical and business focused lawyer who enjoys working independently and communicate effectively with a variety of people across all levels of the organization will enjoy this role. You will be adaptable, and service oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
