Your Role You will deliver an exceptional customer experience with outstanding café-service provision at the hospital café. This includes customer service, processing transactions, utilising your barista capabilities, assisting with food preparation and delivery and ensuring the café is clean and tidy at all times. The Position: Prepare coffee machine and work area for service Provide customer service Advise customers on espresso coffee styles Monitor coffee quality Ensure that the grinder is adjusted on a regular basis Ensure that extraction is accurate Texture milk in accordance with drink styles and specific order requirements Clean and maintain espresso machine at the end of day/during the day Advise customers on our food and beverage offer Maintain a presence on the floor to be available to assist customers Anticipate customers’ needs Ensure other Caregivers are carrying out the steps of service correctly Ask customers for feedback at the end of their meal, verbally and via Customer Comment Cards Undertake the preparation and service of food following recipes, portion control and presentation guidelines conforming to HACCP principles (where applicable) while completing daily records as part of daily responsibilities such as the correct recording of control measures including temperature readings, sign off cleaning schedules etc. You will have a sound understanding of Health & Food Safety requirements and food preparation and demonstrated Barista and hospitality experience. To succeed you will have an understanding of infection control principals as they relate to the food services industry and will be available for a range of shifts (morning and afternoon) across a 7-day roster. We will offer you Salary: $32.11 per hour - $33.42 per hour (casual loading included), plus 11.5% superannuation.
