Technical Support Engineer – Sydney, AU Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support for medical laser systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the Sales and Service team. Working primarily around the greater Sydney region. Short notice travel is a requirement. Restricted electrical license is an advantage. Our ideal candidate will bring 5-10 years of experience with medical laser equipment, a solid foundation in electronics. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is $85k - $110k. In this role, you will engage in the following: Provide technical support for repair, test, calibrate, and installation of laser systems, sub-systems, and sub-assemblies. Demonstrate familiarization with basic Laser technology and applications. Report to management any potential problems which could impact timely completion of assigned tasks, equipment shortcomings, and more complex equipment problems. Maintain complete and accurate service records. Interact with customers and monitor accounts. Provide onsite technical support to customers as required. Develop, exercise, and maintain excellent customer relations skills. Develop a working knowledge of our customer’s needs. Continuously build company and product knowledge to enhance service quality. Understand product alignment and certification to specification. Continually develop positive relations within the Sales and Service Team. Packing and shipping parts accurately and efficiently to meet customer and operational needs. Essential Requirements: Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency Associates degree in electronics at a minimum. 5-10 years related field service experience in troubleshooting medical laser equipment. Technically oriented with hands-on laser technical experience preferred. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work independently.
