  About the role: Reporting to our Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for getting data for analysis to produce meaningful and useful insights. You will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. This role sits within our Analytics & Insights (AI) team that requires creating and managing the technological infrastructure of the enterprise data platform. This role is a 12 month contract Your Key Duties will include: Data pipeline – architecture /maintenance/testing: In its core, data engineering entails designing the architecture of a data platform The role is required to work closely with the Principal Architect Data and Insights to design and sustain best practice data pipelines A developer role in the first place, use programming skills to develop, customize and manage integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytical systems During the development phase, testing the reliability and performance of each part of the pipeline Data extraction and development of data related instruments/ instances: Information is located somewhere, first it needs to be extracted The source can be some database, a website’s user interactions, an internal ERP/CRM system, etc or the data may come from public sources available online Data Transformation: Raw data may not make much sense to the end users Transformations are required with the aim at cleaning, structuring, and formatting the data sets to make data consumable for processing or analysis by taking data for further processing or queried from the reporting layer Your Experience: End-to-end data processing on Azure, with tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, DevOps, etc. Data modelling in data warehouse and/or data lake Advanced SQL skill, including processing data with Stored Proc and Function Python Strong trouble shooting Performance tuning  Why we love working here:  We are a Values led organisation, we Create opportunity, Pursue excellence, Achieve together Health and Wellbeing sessions, learning labs, generous reward and recognition program. The people, you'll work with like-minded and talented colleagues who aspire to be the best. Our members, they are at the heart of everything that we do. Hybrid working, spend at least two days a week in the office and choose where you spend the other three. Busy, fast paced, and we are passionate about what we do. Paid parental, volunteer, study leave, and the ability to purchase additional leave. Annual incentive scheme Learning & Professional Development opportunities We are global, so global mindsets are encouraged.  About Us:  CPA Australia is Australia’s leading professional accounting body and one of the largest in the world.
