The Moreton Bay College is seeking a passionate administration who has a love for all sports to assist the P-12 Sports Team at the college. THE POSITION The P-12 Sports Administrator is responsible in the first instance to the Director of Sport and ultimately the CEO and Executive Principal. The P-12 Sports Administrator has varied responsibilities including all Interschool sport, Representative Sport and Inter-house Primary and Secondary Carnivals (Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics). All staff need to be supportive of the values, Christian ethos and Ethical Statement of this Uniting Church Day school for girls from P-12. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties of the Part-time Administrator ( P-12 Sport ) include: P-12 Sport Responsibilities Assist the MBC Director of Sport with daily administration tasks. General word processing, scanning and copying Book and maintain the facilities booking system for sports training. Email and post correspondence on the Mobile Phone App of all sporting information for Primary and Secondary Assist pre setup for the running of Interhouse carnivals (eg, paperwork, ground setup etc.) Attendance is required at all Interhouse carnivals Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics Maintain and update all records for QGSSSA, Andrews Cup and Club sporting teams sporting teams, District / Met East / State and National representatives and data entering into Co-curricular Assist maintaining records for Junior/Senior Sportswoman for Primary and Secondary Maintain schedule of training times/days for the MBC Waller Centre, Oval and Courts Collating paperwork, advertising on Mobile Phone App Weekly Bulletin and Daily Notices, and sending nominations for Composite/Lytton District and Metropolitan East sporting trials Updating Clipboard as needed (e.g. team lists, schedules etc). Collate and monitor attendance rolls and bus lists Checking database for payment of money for sporting activities Attending Sporting Events when required to assist Assist with the organisation of sporting tours when required Sports Awards Evening Manage facility bookings Coordinate setup and pack down of the event Communicate information to parents, including invitations for trophy winners, updates on the app, and weekly bulletin notifications Oversee ticket bookings for parents Compile trophy winner names and organise awards Place orders for trophies, confirm timing, and coordinate collection Assistance With: Cross-check trophy names for accuracy and correct spelling Arrange trophies for presentation on the day of the event Equipment Management Order equipment as required Unpack, mark and store equipment Assist coordinators with equipment requirements for their sport Tidy equipment storage areas as needed Advise Facilities of any maintenance, safety issues relating to equipment or plant General Tidy, distribute to relevant areas and dispose of lost property Order and distribute coach’s shirts as needed Check of the First Aid kit situated in the MBC Sports hall and liaising with College Nurse for supplies Other duties as directed by the Director of Sport SKILLS AND ABILITIES The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Ability to work as a member of a team. Ability to work without direct supervision. Ability to demonstrate IT competency. Ability to communicate effectively with all staff. Efficient and effective time management skills. A cheerful disposition. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Qualifications from TAFE, Business College or a recognized training provider, or related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Working with Children Suitability Card is essential. Certificate III or IV in Education would be desirable but not essential. CONDITIONS AND SALARY Semester 1 Fixed Term contract – 38 hours per week, Term-time 2 weeks School Officer Classification Level 4 as per the Moreton Bay College Enterprise Agreement.
