It is a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the transition experiences of students as they move through various phases of their educational journey. The following pathway programs are offered to both domestic and international students: Foundations, ELICOS, WMEP (Western Melbourne English Program), and Higher Education Diplomas (Business & Information Technology). About the Role: VU is seeking English/Humanities and Commerce Foundation Studies Sessional Teachers in the Centre of VU Transitions, to support our students’ learning and their transition to further pathways. Examples of duties you will perform include: Facilitating learning and establishing educational and assessment strategies to suit a range of students, including domestic and international cohorts. Researching, developing, and customising learning materials suitable for a range of teaching and learning settings. Preparing class content materials. Undertaking a range of administrative and compliance-related tasks. About You: If you are passionate about creating a positive learning environment and assisting VU students to gain the necessary skills to explore further pathways, we would like to hear from you. The successful candidate will need to: Possess a degree in the relevant area. Hold a teaching qualification. Hold a current Working with Children Check or VIT or be willing to obtain one. Secondary teaching experience, particularly VCE teaching experience, will be highly regarded. Experience working with an international student cohort is preferred. Salary and Conditions of Employment: For the sessional teaching roles, the hourly rate payable is $88.64 per hour inclusive of 25% sessional loading plus superannuation.
