They carry out all mechanical, hydraulic, auto electrical and welding repairs on all types of equipment from light vehicles to heavy road trucks and fixed plant, to heavy mining equipment. BDS Mechanical are currently looking for Mechanical Engineering Technician to join their team. Duties and Responsibilities: Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and technical manuals. Analyse, designs and develop mechanical and hydraulic attachments and systems by and testing as per client specifications and expectations. Evaluation of Mechanical Systems by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials. Perform maintenance of heavy plant and equipment, Service Delivery in design, maintenance and corrective actions for optimal product performance. Assist with the Service Delivery Processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installation of components. Assess product quality by designing and implementing testing methods. Following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; and requesting special services when required. Estimates material costs and quantities, and machine requirements Maintain accurate records of all activities, inspections, and repairs. Skills and Experience: Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field At least two years’ relevant experience.
