Based at our Woollahra campus, the Commerce, History & Entrepreneurship Teacher at Reddam House plays a crucial role in guiding students from Stage 4 to 5 through their educational journey, leveraging extensive experience and expertise to deliver high-quality instruction. Working as part of an established team, this role involves teaching yrs 7-10, contributing to curriculum development, and leading educational initiatives within the school. The Commerce, History & Entrepreneurship Teacher is expected to inspire academic excellence, foster intellectual curiosity, and support the holistic development of students. By creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to the broader school community, this teacher ensures that students are empowered to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and personally. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Teach Commerce/Business/Entrepreneurship to secondary students in an innovative and collaborative environment. • Unlock students' true potential, preparing them for unlimited success through developing engaging experiences with real-world contexts. • Engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, aligning with Reddam House’s educational philosophy. • Prepare daily and long-term lesson plans that adhere to curriculum standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of students. • Arrange and manage classroom resources effectively to support an engaging and conducive learning environment. • Assess students’ abilities, strengths, and areas for improvement, providing individualised support to help them overcome challenges and excel academically. • Maintain productive working habits and discipline within the classroom to foster a respectful and focused learning atmosphere.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: • A teaching degree with a minimum of four years of post-qualification experience, specialising in Commerce/History/Entrepreneurship or a closely related subject. • NESA accreditation and experience with stage 4&5 syllabus content. • A valid Working With Children check and right to work in Australia. • Confidence in using ICT in teaching. • Creative and innovative in teaching approaches, with the ability to inspire and motivate students. • Patient, empathetic, and understanding, with a strong ability to support students’ emotional and social well-being. • Collaborative team player who works well with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders. • Resilient and adaptable, highly organised, able to handle challenges and changes within the educational environmentSAFEGUARDING STATEMENT Inspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
