Our Neerabup plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and your focus will be on operating safely within a high-risk environment to maintain, install and rectify our plant and equipment on-site. We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our maintenance team working 4X 12-hour days per week (Monday to Friday). Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years prior experience in mechanical fitter operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment, hold a mechanical fitter trade qualification, be adaptable, self-motivated, have a desire to reach their goals, and can work safely and effectively with others to achieve great results. Your principal duties will include: Regularly maintaining plant and equipment. Rectifying breakdowns within a timely manner. Diagnosing issues using critical and logical thinking. Equipment installation and fabrication. Using SAP computer systems where necessary. Flexibility to be available for on-call work when required. Essential Selection Criteria: Trade qualification in mechanical fitter (Australian standard). Minimum of 2 years fixed plant manufacturing experience. Proven exceptional knowledge of conveying systems. Demonstrated commitment to safe operation and a duty of care towards their team. Ability to work in a high-risk and challenging environment prone to distraction. Desired Selection Criteria: Knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems. EWP licence. Working at heights confirmation of competency. Confined space confirmation of competency. A commitment to on-going learning and training development. Essential Requirements: Proof of Australian working rights. A current high-risk forklift licence. Current national police clearance or willing to obtain at own cost (essential). Driver’s licence.
