Role Overview The Engineering Manager’s main role within the Engineering Capability will be to ensure the global delivery of the D&S engineering portion of programs to the business. This role will be tasked with delivering the technical solution that meets the customer’s training needs, by staying on budget and on schedule while producing the expected quality outcomes. The Engineering Manager will act as the key interface to the global engineering departments in Canada, United States and Australia thus keeping up with the latest developments in CAE Technology in the simulation functional areas including managing interdependencies with GSS, Hardware, Manufacturing and Product Development. This role can be located in Homebush, NSW or Brisbane, QLD. The role we are offering you Leading and overseeing all engineering activities related to the program, including system requirements, design, development, integration, testing and acceptance Liaise with Program/Project Managers and support customer interactions to create a common understanding of requirements Manage engineering-related risks/opportunities at a project level Ensure that the integration plan is defined and executed Our ideal candidate has: Tertiary qualification and demonstrated professional engineering competencies (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical) or related field Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the defence industry Proficiency in project management, budgeting, scheduling, risk management will all be looked upon favourably Familiarity with ADF Engineering and training standards and practices What CAE offers you: Opportunity to make a considerable impact on Australian defence and security Exciting career paths in a truly global business Access to a generous ADF Reserve Service Policy Security requirements As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
