About the Role We are looking for a professional and experienced customer service superstar to fill the role of Senior Receptionist at our Pet Hotel in Eagle Farm. This permanent fulltime role typically works Monday to Friday from 10.30am to 6.30pm, as well as the occasional weekend and Public Holidays when needed. Must be available to work during school holidays and peak periods. This role ensures customers feel nurtured and confident in our ability to care for their furry family members, and will provide administration & reservations services to pet owners, as well as support to our Pet Care team. In this role you will be responsible for: Delivering a 5-star experience when welcoming pets & their owners into the Pet Hotel. Checking our furry guests in and out and taking accurate notes of their individual/special requests. Managing the phones to take bookings and answer telephone enquiries. Promote retail sales using your knowledge of the best products to suit each individual pet/owner's needs. Running front-of-house reception and general administration duties, including data entry & processing payments. Providing excellent customer service and continually finding ways of improving the customer experience. Maintaining high-quality guest services, including keeping owners up-to-date during their pet's stay. About You To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience as an administration/customer service professional who has: A bubbly personality and genuine love and affection for cats & dogs. 3-5 years' reception, administration or customer service experience, preferably in the petcare, travel/airline//tourism, or professional services industries. Accurate administrative skills and exceptional attention to detail. Highly motivated to deliver amazing experiences to our customers. Outstanding communication skills and a professional phone manner. Desire and skill to achieve positive outcomes for both customers and fellow team members. Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment by using exceptional time management and organisational skills. Process oriented and experienced in developing Reception/Customer Service procedures. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, and can easily adapt to new systems such as financial & reservations platforms. A positive attitude and prior experience as a Senior Receptionist or Customer Service Officer, with proven experience helping teammates so that the whole team succeeds. Additionally you will: Be committed to working safely, and following Standard Operating Procedures. Hold a drivers license and have own car to get to and from work (public transport is limited). In addition to being seated for reception and administrative work and using a computer and telephone, the incumbent will be required to work in close proximity to cats and dogs, and on their feet for portions of their day. They must be able to sit for prolonged periods, as well as stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, bend, crouch, kneel, squat, reach, stretch, and restrain animals (up to 50kg) on leads, communicate, speak, and interact with customers, internal and external stakeholders, and members of the public in person, over the phone, and online in order to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
