Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team at The Tom Price Medical Centre. The role provides administrative support to the Tom Price Medical Centre and our doctors. Ideally, we would appoint a full-time employee, but we would consider a candidate in a part-time capacity given the right experience. The Company The Tom Price Medical Centre (TPMC) is located in the heart of the Pilbara region of Western Australia. TPMC has two General Practice clinics at Tom Price and Paraburdoo and provides medical professionals to the Tom Price Hospital Emergency Department. We are a friendly, dynamic and patient-focused team consisting of four doctors, three experienced administrative staff, and a practice nurse. You will be working in an environment that is dedicated to ensuring that patients receive the highest level of patient care in a comfortable environment. TPMC is backed by Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA), which is Australia’s largest provider of outsourced private emergency departments. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): • Greet and assist patients • Manage the clinic schedule • Answer and direct phone calls, address inquiries and provide information to patients. • Manage patient information and ensure accurate record-keeping. • Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and address any administrative needs. • Manage patient billing, including private fees and Medicare • Maintaining clinic and reception areas • Performing other administration tasks as directed. Our ideal candidate will have: • Previous experience in a medical administration role • Previous customer service experience • Knowledge of Medicare, DVA and Work Cover • Advanced computer skills • Ability to work as an enthusiastic team member, use initiative and multi-task • Proven ability to work both independently and within a team • Positive attitude and passionate about delivering a high level of patient service • Warm and friendly personality • The ability to travel to our Paraburdoo Medical Centre for leave coverage would be ideal As this is a patient-facing role, the successful applicant needs to be based in Tom Price. Additionally, the successful applicant will need to provide their own housing and transport, as this is not included.
