WINTER 2025 Job Summary – Bartender (Adams Bar) Bartenders at Adams Bar are key employees responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences in a busy, premium bar environment. They prepare high-quality drinks, including cocktails, adhere to NSW RSA regulations, and ensure the bar operates efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Essential Functions Prepare and serve drinks, including cocktails, for guests while adhering to NSW RSA standards and responsible service practices. Verify identification for guests who do not appear to be over 25 years of age Provide attentive and professional service, including taking and delivering orders to guests seated at the bar. Monitor bar inventory levels and report shortages to the restaurant manager for timely replenishment. Restock and clean the bar at the end of each shift to ensure readiness for the next service. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar area and surrounding restaurant space, adhering to food safety standards. Monitor guest alcohol consumption to prevent over-serving and maintain a safe environment. Note: All Charlotte Pass Snow Resort employees are expected to perform alternate functions as needed, including roles outside their assigned department during peak periods, such as holiday weekends. Customer Service Expectations Bartenders are the face of Adams Bar and must demonstrate exceptional customer service. Employees are expected to be helpful, friendly, professional, and courteous while maintaining good order in accordance with Charlotte Pass Snow Resort’s commitment to providing superior guest experiences. Qualifications High School Certificate (or equivalent). Prior bartending experience in a fast-paced bar environment is essential, including the ability to prepare cocktails and work in a premium venue. Valid NSW RSA certification or the willingness and ability to obtain it prior to employment. Required Knowledge and Skills Strong understanding of cocktail preparation, bar operations, and responsible alcohol service. Knowledge of a wide range of liquors, wines, beers, and other beverages. Familiarity with food safety standards and general organizational skills. Ability to operate a POS system for order entry and payment processing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure excellent customer interactions. Physical and Mental Demands Prolonged periods of standing and walking during shifts. Lifting and handling of heavy items, including kegs and cases of wine or liquor, weighing up to 25 kg. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure and addressing guest needs effectively. Work Environment Most work is performed indoors in a lively bar setting, with exposure to open flames (fireplace) and hot items (e.g., hot plates of food).Occasional outdoor tasks, such as snow shoveling, may be required. Outdoor work is performed in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind, and rain, on varied snow surfaces.
