Purpose of the Position The Warehouse/Storeman is responsible for picking and packing items for dispatch and processing of inbound and outbound products and raw materials and conducting cycle counts across all inventories to ensure orders are dispatched in a timely manner and help maintain a well-organised warehouse. Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction and delivery in full on time across all customers and no non-conformances. This role requires working with the warehouse and production staff at all levels of the organisation and working autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Accuracy, attention to detail, safety, and desire to exceed clients’ expectations is the cornerstone of this role. Key Stakeholder Relationships This role will interact closely with the following stakeholders: - Key Internal Stakeholders Logistics Controller Manufacturing Manager General Manager Director – Michael Schmaedeke Sales Finance Quality Assurance Storeman Key External Stakeholders All customers of Ayva Trucking Companies on Contract Key Performance Indicators · DIFOT · NCRs Key Responsibilities The Key Responsibilities of this role are: - Storeman · Loading and unloading trucks of delivery vehicles · Receiving raw materials and finished products · Picking and packing of orders / creating relevant paperwork · Mark and label stock · Store inventory in an accessible manner · Loading and wrapping stock on pallets · Building loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack · Arranging transport for deliveries · Computer entry for finished goods and receiving of goods · Maintaining material levels for machines in production · Conduct regular inspections on all inventory for damage and faults · Conduct regular cycle counts on all inventory and update SAP accordingly · Ensuring that incoming & outgoing products are in good condition · Ensure the warehouse is clean and organised at all times · Liaise with Sales and Customer Service & Planning with locating of inventory and reporting Inventory Control · Monitor inventory levels daily and ensure in-stock levels meet customer needs and inventory parameters. · Carry out inventory control, stock balances and reconciliation on finished products daily via SAP . · Manage consumable materials and report shortages on time to refurbish. · Liaise with planning to ensure adequate inventory levels cover sales requirements and reduce write-offs. · Manage and coordinate inventory processes, systems, and reporting on all stock locations. · Identify inventory discrepancies, investigate causes and resolve them. · Set up min/max inventory quantities per demand. · Assist sales and customer service with locating inventory and reporting.
