The Position To provide excellent customer service and food preparation to clients of Retro Lane Cafe and assist the Cafe Manager in the efficient operation of the cafe. Qualifications & experience Food Handling Certificate Experience in the hospitality industry Experience in a customer focused environment including cash handling Interest in working with young people Ability to undertake basic short order cooking in a cafe environment Tasks & responsibilities Assist customers with sales/purchases in a friendly and courteous manner Provide a high level of hospitality expertise in food and beverage preparation, handling and presentation Undertake a range of basic short order cooking Operate POS registers for Cafe sales, including reconciliation, daily banking, eftpos and change bags Restock fridges Hours Based on 38 hours per week, working an average of 20 hours across a 6-day spread, with actual days and times being worked in accordance with facility roster.
