About the role: Our Disability Support Workers use a person-centred approach to the care given to our participants. The ability for our participants to have choice, respect and a focus on their strengths, abilities and skills is important to all of us at CatholicCare. As a Support Worker you will be ensuring that people with disabilities lived meaningful lives and achieve the best they can do. Working at our Brookvale Day Program Centre, we are looking for an exceptional candidate who can work from Monday to Thursday from 8:55am to 3:10pm. The roles are paid at the SCHADS level 2.1 $33.41 per hour. Duties: Using individual support plans to ensure participants are goals are being met. Providing personal care activities provided with dignity, compassion and respect. Assisting with community participation and ensuring participants having meaningful social interactions. Ensuring familiarity with the participant’s profile and always carry their emergency plan. Interacting positively with participants, families, carers, stakeholders and your team members. About you: Hold a valid NSW Driver’s licence and insured vehicle. First aid Certificate (or ability to obtain one before commencing). Completing a NDIS Worker Check is a requirement of this position. Completion of the mandatory NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’ is required.
