Lindsay Rural is currently seeking an experienced Driver for local pickup & delivery runs based from our Mareeba branch. The Role: We are seeking a local HC Driver to join the team in the Mareeba branch for pickup and delivery work. Local drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of customer goods and the loading, unloading and load restraint of freight. Casual position available. Primary duties of the role include: Assist in loading/unloading and load restraint as required to prevent freight movement and allow for safe transport Deliver goods to people or companies Take orders in person or over the phone Report any vehicle issues Take payments where necessary Get signatures for deliveries made Maintain logs of deliveries Communicate with warehouse or pickup point for any special instructions Ensure package is not damaged before setting off Refuel vehicles and trailers at authorised fuelling locations About You: The candidates we are looking for will: Have a current & valid HC licence. Have a commitment to workplace health and safety. Be reliable and punctual with good communication skills. Have a strong customer focus. Knowledge of paperwork associated with freight delivery and familiarity using internal cab data systems. A commitment to workplace health and safety Be well presented, professional and reliable.
