About the Role We’re on the hunt for a superstar Retail Shop Manager to keep the wheels turning, the customers smiling, and the team thriving If you can juggle sales, stock control, admin, marketing, workplace safety, and team dynamics—all while rocking a can-do attitude—this is the role for you. Bring your expertise, enthusiasm, and maybe even a sense of humour to help us grow in our one-of-a-kind, fun-filled retail environment. Responsibilities Take charge of a brilliant team, keep daily operations ticking along like clockwork, and create a workplace culture so positive it could rival Mary Poppins’ attitude. Smash sales targets with clever strategies and handle any escalations with the grace of a referee at a Sunday league match. Be the health and safety guru by enforcing policies, spotting hazards like a hawk, and making sure your team knows the difference between a risk assessment and a tea break. Juggle payroll, stock checks, and vendor relationships like a pro, all while staying true to a "shop local and sustainable" ethos—because saving the planet is always in style. Boost the shop’s reputation by mastering customer surveys, managing reviews, and giving the online presence a bit of sparkle—all while being the go-to for local goodwill and community vibes. Skills and Experience required Proven experience in a retail or customer service management role, ideally within tourism or speciality retail. Strong understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and practices. Financial Acumen and experience with Xero, including payroll Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and various applications, platforms, and booking systems Benefits Opportunity to lead within a unique, visitor-focused environment.
