Role Requirements & Responsibilities - Casual Pool up to 32hrs per week or up 72hrs per fortnight URGENTLY SEEKING SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT FOR COMMENCEMENT WEEK BEGINNING 16TH DECEMBER OR PRIOR [ONBOARDING COMPLETED] 40HRS IMMEDIATELY ON OFFER PLUS ADDITIONAL HOURS CAN BE ROSTERED. YOU WILL BE ROSTERED IMMEDIATELY FOR TRAINING BUDDY SHIFTS, ONCALL SHIFTS FOR THE EXISTING PUBLISHED ROSTER UP UNTIL JANUARY 12TH, YOU WILL BE ROSTERED 24/12 SLEEPOVER SHIFT YOU WILL BE ROSTERED 23/12 DAY SHIFT. YOU WILL BE ROSTERED 27/12 SLEEPOVER SHIFT YOU WILL BE ROSTERED 31/12 SLEEPOVER SHIFT YOU WILL BE ROSTERED 25/1 DAY SHIFT This role is to support client rosters predominately in: Lochinvar but needs to also be trained at Telarah as well. To Apply Successful candidates must be available to work a 24/7 roster and you MUST have availability that includes weekends, day & sleepover shifts Do not apply if you do not have flexible availability. Lochinvar & Telarah are 24/7 sleepover roster: Both Client's preferences in support staff are female and of maturer age. Client Profile 93yo Female whom prefers support staff who are female and of maturer age. Nursing or AIN nursing experience highly regarded. Shift Times: 0600-1400 1400-2200 [active] with 2200-0600 [sleepover] You will be responsible for a wide range of general & specific duties to ensure the well-being and progress of our clients 1:1. Your role will involve: Administering medication and adhering to all individual support plans. Completing concise and factual case notes, shift reports, and incident reports. Providing personal care, including toileting (bottle & bed pan), showering (& bed bath), and feeding (meal management). Manual handling tasks such as bed positioning, personal care, hoist operation 1 person, commode assistance, and manual/power wheelchair support. Performing household management tasks, including cleaning, washing, ironing, meal preparation, and cooking fresh wholesome meals. Implementing behaviour management strategies to support clients' emotional and mental well-being. Assisting with health appointments and social outings to promote community inclusion. A strong understanding of person-centered active support or a genuine willingness to embrace this model of care Demonstrated skills in providing assistance to adult clients with intellectual/physical disabilities, medical needs, and mental health diagnoses Demonstrated common sense and a proactive attitude towards learning and development. Ability to maintain professionalism, respect, and uphold professional boundaries. ABOUT YOU: Flexible availability to worker various shifts across 24/7 Roster of care Availability on Public Holidays, weekends, and flexible availability across all of December 2024 & January 2025 including all Public Holidays to be either rostered on shift or rostered as on call. Minimum Essential: [basic onboarding] NDIS Worker Screening Check Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You' First Aid Certificate & Valid CPR Valid Driver's License Medication management training [under 12mths recency] Manual handling training [under 24mths recency] Infection, prevention & control [under 12mths recency] Evidence of relevant cert III or IV qualification if you have one. It is essential to have experience or willing to learn in the safe use and operation of Pivot Hoist [telarah] The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s eLearning modules are designed to support NDIS workers to better support people with disability & understand their obligations under the NDIS Code of Conduct.
