The Role: Support the key tenets of the Operational Service Model (OSM) for the relevant area, which are to provide a supportive and therapeutic environment that promotes independence, opportunity, and recovery for people who maybe experiencing situational or suicidal distress. Provide outcome focused, recovery orientated services to clients of the mental health service. Use their lived experience of mental illness and recovery experience to share experiential knowledge, skills and strategies to support individuals to navigate the mental health system and social services system and optimise outcomes for friends, families and individuals. The Team: Peacock Centre has a 12-bed inpatient unit, and a peer lead Safe Haven and Integration Hub (although the latter is supported and supervised by a Senior Clinician). These services work together to provide trauma-informed care to people experiencing relapse in their mental health and/or suicidal or situational distress.
