About the role: Childcare OSHC Educator Employment Type: Casual Start Date: ASAP As a key member of our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and educational activities for primary school-aged children. Your role will involve supporting children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs while maintaining a safe and fun environment. This is a casual position for the school holidays with potential for ongoing casual work – a great opportunity to gain experience and make a positive impact Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s development. Provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for children. Supervise and interact with children in both structured and free-play activities. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for all children. Position Requirements: We are seeking candidates with one of the following approved ACECQA qualifications: Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care Certificate IV in Outside School Hours Care Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care In addition, the ideal candidate will: Have a genuine passion for working with children. Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills. Possess a current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification (or be willing to obtain). Demonstrated experience in an approved education and care service. Understanding of National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework, and the Reggio Emilia Approach. Essential Criteria: A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. Active participation in a church or Christian community, exemplifying Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices. Acceptance of the College’s Statement of Faith. Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board, Principal, staff, students, and parents. Commitment to personal best practice. Ensure decisions are impartial, fact-based, and fair. Model appropriate and proper channels of communication. Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos. Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC. Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the College’s values and policies.
