This position will be part of our Hospitality Team and will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of high quality dishes. The main responsibilities will include: Assisting the Head Chef with food preparation elements in a manner that ensures a high standard of delivery to all Frankston Arts Centre clients, patrons, staff and wider council – including servicing Council Chambers; and Assisting the Head Chef in maintaining a provision of high quality culinary services with a keen gastronomic acumen and possess a well-rounded knowledge of the food industry, including staff training, kitchen hygiene and food-safety plan. About you As the successful candidate, you will: Work under the direction of the Head Chef, assisting with food preparation in all areas of the kitchen following standard recipes and correct techniques; Be experienced in high volume commercial catering with demonstrate competency in all aspects commercial cookery; Possess relevant industry training / Chef Qualifications - Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum) and Food Handling Certificate; Be able to work in a fast paced and hands on environment; and Demonstrate sound knowledge of food safety practices, HACCP and OHS.
